Bran
Flaxseed Complex

Bran

Bran is the outer layer of the grain, which is rich in fiber. In our flaxseed complex, it serves two purposes at once.

First, it provides additional insoluble dietary fiber, which regulates bowel transit and promotes regular, healthy digestion. Second, it acts as a technological carrier in the cook-extrusion process and ensures a homogeneous, even distribution of the valuable flax components in every batch.

For your dog, this means a balanced fiber blend that keeps the intestines moving, promotes a feeling of fullness, and ensures that omega-3 fatty acids are absorbed evenly throughout the digestive tract.

ClassicSensitiveSeniorBoost
Flaxseed
Flaxseed Complex

Flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum)

Not all flaxseed is created equal. When raw or simply ground, a large portion of its valuable nutrients remains unused—antinutritional factors block digestion, and the omega-3 fatty acids oxidize quickly. We process our flaxseed using a patented high-pressure cooking and extrusion process. This extraction process is backed by over 400 scientific studies.

The process destroys the anti-nutritional factors in the seed, activates the body’s own enzymes, and completely breaks down the seed. Heat, pressure, and shear force are calibrated so that the omega-3 fatty acids are released slowly and continuously along the digestive tract—not all at once, as is the case with pure flaxseed oil.

For your dog, this means high-quality plant-based omega-3 fatty acids (ALA) for healthy skin, coat, joints, and immune system. Soluble fiber nourishes the microbiome and regulates intestinal transit. Plant-based proteins and B vitamins get where they’re needed. Each batch is tested via NIR analysis for omega-3 content, protein, and fat content.

Lignans
Flaxseed Complex

Lignans

Lignans are secondary plant compounds found in high concentrations in flaxseed. They are classified as phytoestrogens and are powerful plant-based antioxidants.

We specifically use lignans because they do two things that other antioxidants cannot. They balance hormone levels—which is particularly important for older dogs whose adrenal function is declining—and they inhibit an enzyme (3-beta-HSD) involved in cortisol production. In chronically stressed dogs, elevated cortisol levels often show up in the coat: it becomes dull, flaky, and prone to increased hair loss.

For your dog, this means: protecting the body’s cells from oxidative stress, supporting a balanced hormonal system, and helping to prevent stress from showing up in the coat and skin.

Nut Fibers
Flaxseed Complex

Nut Fibers

Nut fibers are the finely ground shell components of selected nuts—a particularly gentle yet effective source of dietary fiber. They are rich in insoluble dietary fiber with a high water-binding capacity.

We deliberately use nut fibers in SENSITIVE because sensitive dogs often face a dilemma: too little fiber = irregular stools; too much fiber or the wrong kind of fiber = irritation and bloating. Nut fibers provide a fiber structure that binds water, normalizes stool consistency, and is gentle enough not to put additional strain on even irritated intestinal linings.

For your dog, this means: firmer, well-formed stools even when digestion fluctuates—and a source of dietary fiber that complements the fenugreek mucilage and flax fiber in the SENSITIVE formula.

Brewer's yeast
Yeast & Microbiome

Brewer's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)

Brewer's yeast is a byproduct of beer production and is subsequently inactivated and spray-dried. The result is a protein-rich yeast containing about 44% highly digestible protein, essential amino acids (lysine, methionine, threonine), and a particularly high concentration of B vitamins—including B1, B2, B12, folic acid, and biotin.

We combine brewer's yeast with hydrolyzed yeast because the two complement each other. While hydrolyzed yeast takes effect particularly quickly, brewer's yeast provides the complete amino acid profile and a concentrated supply of B vitamins. Biotin is particularly important for maintaining healthy skin and a healthy coat.

For your dog, this means: a high-quality plant-based source of protein, B vitamins to support energy metabolism and the nervous system, and biotin for healthy skin and coat. The brewer’s yeast is GMO-free and comes from a certified Swiss supply chain.

ClassicSensitiveSeniorBoost
Hydrolyzed yeast
Yeast & Microbiome

HydrolyzedSaccharomyces cerevisiae yeast

Hydrolysis means that the yeast cell wall is broken down enzymatically. The substances released in this process are highly bioavailable—B-complex vitamins, free amino acids, minerals, and, above all, the valuable β-glucans and mannans from the yeast cell wall.

We use the hydrolyzed form because it acts more quickly than whole yeast cells. β-glucans stimulate the activity of immune cells in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) and improve the absorption of nutrients through the intestinal wall. Mannans bind to unwanted bacteria, thereby supporting a stable gut flora.

For your dog, this means: a targeted supply of B vitamins (important for the nervous system and energy metabolism), prebiotic support for beneficial gut bacteria, and a direct boost to the natural immune system.

Lactobacillus helveticus
Yeast & Microbiome

Lactobacillushelveticus strain HA-122 · tyndallized

Lactobacillus helveticus is a lactic acid bacterium that occurs naturally in the gut and is particularly resilient to passage through the stomach’s acidic environment. We use the well-documented HA-122 strain in its Tyndallized form—which means the bacteria have been inactivated through gentle heating, but their cell walls and metabolic products remain fully effective.

We use tyndallized probiotics instead of live ones for three reasons. First: better shelf stability (no cold chain required). Second: reliable effectiveness regardless of the dog’s individual microbiome. Third: no risks for immunocompromised or older dogs. Studies show that the tyndallized form is just as effective as live strains—through postbiotics (cell wall components and metabolic byproducts) that interact directly with the gut’s immune system.

For your dog, this means: strengthening the intestinal barrier, promoting butyrate production (an important energy source for intestinal cells), increasing immunoglobulin G levels (better immune protection), and indications of improved sleep quality and reduced stress behavior—as documented in studies of older dogs.

Melon juice
Yeast & Microbiome

Melon Juice Cucumis melo

The dried juice of a specific variety of melon is one of the most natural sources of superoxide dismutase (SOD)—one of the body's most important endogenous antioxidants. SOD neutralizes superoxide radicals before they can cause cell damage.

We deliberately use melon juice in the SENIOR topping. As we age, the body’s natural production of SOD decreases—while exposure to free radicals increases. To ensure that the SOD molecule reaches the digestive tract intact, it is coated with palm oil, which protects it from stomach acid, heat, and oxidation. Each batch contains at least 65,000 IU of SOD activity per kilogram.

For your dog, this means: targeted support for the body’s most important antioxidant defense system, reduced oxidative stress, and improved vitality and ability to recover—especially for older dogs whose natural defenses are declining.

Minerals
Yeast & Microbiome

Minerals

Our source of minerals is natural calcium carbonate derived from Swiss limestone, finely ground and certified in accordance with the SN EN 12620 and SN EN 13139 standards. Calcium carbonate provides approximately 38% calcium and a small amount of magnesium.

We use a natural mineral source instead of synthetic mineral blends because we can document the origin of every ingredient. The manufacturer is based in Switzerland, and the material is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and FSSC 22000.

For your dog, this means a precisely measured dose of calcium that supports bone health, stabilizes the pH level in the intestines, and normalizes the function of digestive enzymes. Calcium also plays a role in the synthesis of digestive enzymes such as amylase and lipase.

Mushroom extract
Yeast & Microbiome

Mushroom extract (Agaricus bisporus)

Our mushroom extract comes from the white button mushroom—one of the most extensively studied edible mushrooms in the world. It provides a rich source of polyphenols, β-glucans, mannans, and amino acids, all of which have GRAS status for human consumption in Japan and several European countries.

We use the mushroom extract because it acts through three independent biological mechanisms. First, it stimulates the body’s own production of antimicrobial peptides in the gut (via the Paneth cells)—which reduces the population of putrefactive gut bacteria that produce foul-smelling metabolites such as ammonia, indole, and mercaptans. Second, its polyphenols physically encapsulate odor-causing molecules, removing them from the odor cycle. Third, reactive quinone groups chemically bind the free odor compounds—preventing them from evaporating.

These three mechanisms explain why our mushroom extract not only freshens breath but also reduces body odor and fecal odor—by addressing the biological cause, not by masking the odors with flavors. Clinical studies document measurable effects after four weeks of continuous use. At the same time, the mushroom β-glucans have a prebiotic effect and boost the activity of immune cells.

For your dog, this means fresher breath, less body odor and gas, a healthier microbiome, and additional antioxidants (ergothioneine)—in a way that is selective and does not interfere with nutrient absorption, unlike activated charcoal, for example.

Achyranthes
Herbal Complex

Achyranthes Achyranthes aspera

Achyranthes aspera is a herb native to India, Africa, and Southeast Asia that is used in traditional medicine to support kidney, liver, and digestive health. It contains saponins, alkaloids, and phytosterols.

We use Achyranthes aspera for its immunomodulatory and antimicrobial effects. Studies show that it increases the activity of macrophages and lymphocytes—gently, without causing irritation. At the same time, the plant supports kidney function, which is important during the detoxification process alongside the liver.

For your dog, this means an extra boost to the immune system and a reduction in the workload on the liver and kidneys, which work together to detoxify the body.

SeniorBoost
Andrographis
Herbal Complex

Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata)

Andrographis paniculata is one of the most bitter plants in traditional medicine. It contains andrographolides—diterpenes with documented liver-protective and anti-inflammatory properties.

We use it as a key component of the liver complex because it works on two levels. First, it protects liver cells from toxic stress and supports their regeneration. Second, it inhibits key inflammatory signaling pathways (NF-κB, COX-2)—similar to traditional anti-inflammatory drugs, but without their side effects on the stomach, kidneys, or circulatory system.

For your dog, this means: reducing the strain on the liver as the body’s primary detoxification organ, helping to reduce systemic inflammation, and supporting the body’s natural detoxification pathways.

SeniorBoost
Ashwagandha
Herbal Complex

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)

Ashwagandha is arguably the best-known adaptogen in the Ayurvedic tradition. The root contains withanolides, a group of steroidal lactones that act directly on the HPA axis (the body’s central stress axis).

We use ashwagandha as a key ingredient in the CALM formula because it has a regulating effect rather than a sedative one. Withanolides modulate cortisol levels—they do not artificially lower them, but rather bring them back to where they should be physiologically. In cases of chronic stress (excessive cortisol), this has a calming effect; in cases of exhaustion, it restores responsiveness.

For your dog, this means: more balanced cortisol levels throughout the day, fewer stress-related behavioral issues, and easier falling asleep—without sedation and without impairing alertness.

Sensitive
Baobab
Herbal Complex

Baobab (Adansonia digitata)

Baobab is Africa's "monkey bread" tree. Its flesh is one of the most natural sources of vitamin C—containing up to six times more vitamin C than oranges, as well as soluble fiber (pectin), calcium, magnesium, and antioxidant polyphenols.

We use baobab as a key ingredient for dogs with sensitive stomachs because the pulp offers a rare combination of benefits: it is a gentle prebiotic (thanks to its soluble fiber), a powerful antioxidant (thanks to vitamin C and polyphenols), and a stomach-friendly mucosal protector.

For your dog, this means that the microbiome is nourished, oxidative stress is reduced, and the stomach lining is supported—especially for dogs prone to irritation or sensitive digestion.

SeniorBoost
barberry
Herbal Complex

Barberry (Berberis aristata)

Barberry (Berberis aristata) is known as “Daruharidra” in the Ayurvedic tradition. Its characteristic active ingredient is berberine, a plant-based alkaloid with a distinctly bitter taste.

We include barberry in the liver complex because berberine works on multiple levels. It supports liver and glucose metabolism, has an antimicrobial effect against unwanted intestinal bacteria, and helps maintain a balanced inflammatory response—without displacing beneficial gut flora.

For your dog, this means: reducing the strain on the liver, supporting a stable metabolism, and promoting a calm, balanced intestinal environment.

SeniorBoostSensitive
Fenugreek
Herbal Complex

Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum)

Fenugreek is one of the oldest cultivated herbs in existence—it was already known in ancient Egypt. Its seeds contain mucilage (galactomannans), saponins, flavonoids, and bitter compounds.

We specifically use fenugreek to support the gastrointestinal tract. Its mucilage forms a protective film over the stomach lining and soothes irritated tissue. At the same time, its bitter compounds stimulate the secretion of saliva, gastric juice, and pancreatic juice, thereby promoting complete digestion—which is important for dogs with reduced digestive function.

For your dog, this means: protection and soothing of the stomach lining, improved enzymatic breakdown of food, and less digestive stress.

Senior
Guduchi
Herbal Complex

Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)

In Ayurvedic medicine, Tinospora cordifolia is known as “Amrita”—the nectar of immortality. This climbing plant contains alkaloids, diterpenes, and polysaccharides, and is one of the best-documented adaptogenic plants in Ayurveda.

We use Tinospora cordifolia because it combines two mechanisms that are rarely found together in liver supplements. It acts as an adaptogen—that is, it helps the body cope better with physical and chemical stress. And it specifically stimulates the activity of killer cells and macrophages in the gut-associated immune tissue.

For your dog, this means supporting the body's natural stress response and providing a targeted boost to the immune system—which is especially important for older dogs and dogs recovering from periods of stress.

SeniorBoost
Helicteres
Herbal Complex

Helicteres isora

Helicteres isora is a plant native to South and Southeast Asia that has been used for centuries in the Ayurvedic and Siddha traditions to support metabolism and liver function. It provides saponins, phytosterols, and flavonoids.

We use Helicteres isora because it combines two properties that work well together in the liver complex. It improves insulin sensitivity—which is important for dogs with metabolic stress—and protects liver cells from free radicals through antioxidant mechanisms.

For your dog, this means: support for stable glucose metabolism and additional antioxidant protection for the liver.

SeniorBoost
Turmeric
Herbal Complex

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

Turmeric is probably the most extensively studied medicinal plant in the world. Its main active ingredient, curcumin, is one of the most potent natural anti-inflammatory agents—it directly modulates the central inflammatory signaling pathways (NF-κB, COX-2, TNF-α).

We use turmeric because curcumin has multiple benefits: it is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, liver-protective, and promotes bile secretion. However, curcumin alone is not easily absorbed—which is why we deliberately combine it with Piper longum (piperine) and the fatty acids found in flaxseed. This combination increases its bioavailability many times over.

For your dog, this means: a key mechanism for regulating inflammation—effective for joint problems, skin irritations, and low-grade inflammation in the digestive tract. It protects liver cells and stimulates bile secretion (which in turn improves fat digestion).

SensitiveSenior
Long Pepper
Herbal Complex

Long Pepper (Piperlongum)

Long pepper is not the same as the pepper we use in a pepper mill. It is a distinct variety of pepper from India, known as “Pippali” in the Ayurvedic tradition. Its main active ingredient is piperine—the ultimate bioavailability enhancer.

We use Piper longum deliberately and in precise doses. Piperine enhances the absorption of the other plant-based active ingredients—for curcumin from turmeric, an increase in bioavailability of up to 20 times has been documented. The same applies to the other plant compounds in the herbal complex.

For your dog, this means that whatever plant compounds are in the product actually reach the area where they’re supposed to work. Without the carrier substance piperine, some of the valuable active ingredients would simply be excreted. Piper longum is therefore the synergistic agent within the herbal complex.

Neem
Herbal Complex

Neem (Azadirachta indica)

Neem is one of Asia's best-known medicinal plants. Every part of the tree is used in traditional medicine—we use the processed leaves and bark, which are rich in limonoids, flavonoids, and triterpenes.

We use neem because it works on multiple levels simultaneously and complements the broad spectrum of action in the liver complex. Neem has antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties—which are beneficial for the gut flora because they keep unwanted bacteria in check without harming the beneficial lactobacilli.

For your dog, this means: protection against microbial imbalances in the gut, additional anti-inflammatory effects, and antioxidant cell protection.

SeniorBoost
Licorice
Herbal Complex

Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Licorice is the root from which licorice candy is made. It contains glycyrrhizin, flavonoids, and saponins. In traditional European and Chinese medicine, it has been used for over 2,000 years to treat stomach and respiratory ailments.

We use licorice for its dual effect. It protects the stomach lining by stimulating the production of protective mucus—which is important for dogs with sensitive stomachs or a tendency toward reflux. At the same time, glycyrrhizic acid inhibits the enzyme 11β-HSD2, which breaks down the body’s own cortisol. This ensures that more active cortisol remains available without the need for cortisone medications—a gentle anti-inflammatory effect with a significantly better tolerability profile.

For your dog, this means: protection and healing of the stomach lining, and an anti-inflammatory effect similar to that of mild steroids—but without their side effects, such as thirst, polyuria, or immunosuppression with long-term use.

Belarian Myrobalans
Herbal Complex

BellericMyrobalans (Terminalia bellerica)

Terminalia bellerica—known as “Bibhitaki” in Ayurveda—is one of the three fruits in the famous Triphala blend. It is rich in tannins, flavonoids, and astringent compounds.

In the Liver Complex, we deliberately use it as a single fruit rather than as part of the Triphala blend because its tannin profile is the primary focus here. It supports both digestion and liver metabolism simultaneously: the tannins and bitter compounds stimulate digestive secretions, while antioxidant plant compounds protect liver cells from free radicals and support the body’s natural detoxification pathways.

For your dog, this means: regular digestion, support for the liver as the body’s primary detoxification organ, and additional antioxidant protection for the cells.

Triphala
Herbal Complex

Triphala: Emblica officinalis · Terminalia bellerica · Terminalia chebula

Triphala literally means “three fruits”: Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), ground in equal parts. The formula is over two thousand years old and is one of the most thoroughly studied herbal preparations in Ayurveda. It contains astringents, tannins, and natural vitamin C from the amla fruit.

We include Triphala in our herbal complex because, when combined, the three fruits achieve something that none of them can do on its own: they have a balancing effect rather than acting in just one direction. Tannins and bitter compounds support regular digestion, regardless of whether it has become irregular in one direction or another. In addition, Triphala has antioxidant properties that protect the intestinal mucosa from oxidative stress.

For your dog, this means: calm, regular digestion and additional cellular protection—from a formula that has stood the test of time for centuries because it is gentle enough for daily use.

Vetiver
Herbal Complex

Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides)

Vetiver is a grass, but it is not the leaves that are used, but rather its deep-reaching roots. In Ayurveda, it is called “Ushira” and is classified as a cooling plant—in India, it is traditionally added to summer beverages. Its essential oils consist mainly of sesquiterpenes such as khusimol and vetiverone.

We include vetiver in the herbal blend of Dog-ICE because its properties are well-suited to the occasion. The sesquiterpenes have a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system, and the root also contains antioxidant tannins. In Ayurvedic medicine, Ushira is the plant used to treat heat and restlessness—precisely the two conditions a frozen snack is designed to address.

For your dog, this means a snack that not only physically cools him down on hot days but also, according to Ayurvedic principles, helps him cool down from the inside.

Egg white
FRESHIES

Egg white

Egg white (ovalbumin) is one of the most complete animal proteins—with the highest biological value of all protein sources. It contains all the essential amino acids in optimal proportions.

We use pure egg albumin in FRESHIES as a highly digestible protein source and natural binding agent. Egg albumin provides the amino acids needed to maintain healthy stomach and oral mucosa—which is important because the fungal-polyphenol complex acts precisely in those areas.

For your dog, this means a high-quality protein source that makes FRESHIES a nutritionally sound snack—not just a simple treat.

Freshies
Potato starch
FRESHIES

Potato starch (Solanum tuberosum)

Potato starch is a natural thickener—when heated, the starch gelatinizes and helps keep FRESHIES in shape without the need for synthetic thickeners or flavorings.

We choose potato starch over wheat or corn starch because it is gluten-free and easier to digest. It also provides resistant starch, which acts as a prebiotic in the large intestine and promotes the production of butyrate—a nutrient for intestinal cells.

For your dog, this means: easy to digest, even for sensitive dogs; gluten-free; and with a prebiotic benefit.

Freshies
Coconut flakes
FRESHIES

Coconut flakes (Cocos nucifera)

Coconut flakes are not just a neutral carrier. They contain medium-chain fatty acids (MCTs), including about 50% lauric acid—a fatty acid with natural antimicrobial activity, particularly against certain bacterial and fungal cultures in the oral cavity.

We choose coconut flakes as the main ingredient in FRESHIES because they complement the core mechanism of action of the mushroom-polyphenol complex. While the mushroom extract binds odor-causing molecules in the digestive tract, lauric acid acts directly in the mouth on the bacteria responsible for bad breath. Two mechanisms, one common goal.

For your dog, this means a tasty snack that provides a satisfying chew while also harnessing the antimicrobial effects of MCTs in the mouth—without essential oils or synthetic flavors.

Algae Powder
Special Assets

Algae Powder Schizochytrium spp.

Algae powder provides a concentrated matrix of minerals that is unique in the plant kingdom: iodine, iron, calcium, magnesium, selenium, as well as trace elements that are rarely found in terrestrial plants. Algae are also rich in chlorophyll and natural antioxidants.

We use algae powder in VITALITY because it serves two purposes. It provides iodine—which is important for the thyroid gland, which in turn regulates basal metabolic rate and energy levels. And it supplements the mineral profile in areas where terrestrial plants fall short.

For your dog, this means: a complete supply of minerals that goes beyond what the plant world has to offer, support for normal thyroid function, and an additional antioxidant effect.

Vitality
L-carnitine
Special Assets

L-carnitine

L-carnitine is an amino acid compound produced naturally by the body that dogs can generally produce on their own—but when energy needs are high, during physical activity, or as they age, the body’s own production is often insufficient. Carnitine transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are burned to produce energy.

We specifically include L-carnitine in VITALITY because it does two things: It increases the amount of energy derived from fat (rather than carbohydrates), and it protects the mitochondria—the cells’ powerhouses—from oxidative stress.

For your dog, this means: more energy available for exercise, better stamina, faster recovery after exercise, and more efficient utilization of the flaxseed oils.

Vitality
Embelia officinalis
CALM Herbs

EmbeliaofficinalisEmbelia officinalis

Embelia officinalis is one of the key plants in Ayurveda—closely related to amla (Indian gooseberry). It provides a rare combination of natural vitamin C, polyphenols, and phytochemicals, which, when combined, are more stable and have a longer-lasting effect than isolated vitamin C supplements.

We use Embelia officinalis because the natural vitamin C, embedded in a matrix of tannins, is highly bioavailable and has a long-lasting effect. In stressful situations, the body uses up vitamin C much more quickly—and the body’s need for it increases. Embelia officinalis naturally meets this increased need.

For your dog, this means: a steady supply of vitamin C during times of stress, antioxidant protection for cells, and support for the body’s natural stress response.

Mango
CALM Herbs

Mango (Mangifera indica)

The mango is not just a fruit; in Ayurveda, it is one of the most important medicinal plants of all. We use the fruit pulp and the polyphenol-rich components that provide mangiferin—a xanthone with powerful antioxidant and neuroprotective properties.

We include Mangifera indica in the CALM formula because mangiferin has been shown to reduce oxidative stress in the nervous system and mitigate the formation of stress-induced free radicals. At the same time, it protects the liver and thus supports the breakdown of stress hormones.

For your dog, this means an antioxidant shield for the nervous system and help in preventing stress from becoming a chronic burden.

Pecan
CALM Herbs

Pecan (Carya nuttallii)

From the pecan, we use the polyphenol-rich components, particularly ellagic acid and condensed tannins. These substances are among the most powerful natural antioxidants.

We use Carya nuttallii in the CALM formula because ellagic acid and tannins directly neutralize free radicals in the brain and nervous system—while also supporting the absorption of magnesium and zinc, both of which are minerals needed for stable nerve function.

For your dog, this means: additional antioxidant protection for the central nervous system and an indirect contribution to a stable nervous system.

Relax
Tulsi
CALM Herbs

Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum)

Tulsi is a sacred plant in India. It is one of the best-documented adaptogens and contains eugenol, ursolic acid, and essential oils that have a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system.

We use tulsi because it complements ashwagandha’s adaptogenic profile. While Ashwagandha targets cortisol balance, Tulsi acts on the sympathetic nervous system—the part of the nervous system responsible for the stress response. Tulsi reduces overstimulation of the sympathetic nervous system and supports the shift to the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” mode).

For your dog, this means: calming down more quickly after getting excited, fewer physical symptoms of stress (panting, restlessness, digestive problems), and a more balanced overall system.

Yogurt powder
Snacks

Yogurt powder,fermented skim milk

Our yogurt powder is yogurt from which the water has been removed. Just two ingredients, nothing more: skim milk and yogurt cultures. About 35% protein, less than 1.5% fat, and a pH of 4.0 to 4.3—the acidity comes from fermentation, not from any additives.

We choose yogurt powder as the base for Dog-ICE because the fermentation process has already converted some of the lactose into lactic acid. At the same time, the milk protein matrix gives the frozen mixture its creaminess—which is why Dog-ICE doesn’t require any thickeners, emulsifiers, or flavorings. What works in a yogurt jar works just as well in a dog bowl.

For your dog, this means a creamy snack made with a base that many dogs tolerate better than plain milk. But here’s the thing: it still contains milk protein—so dogs with a milk protein intolerance should avoid Dog-ICE.

Banana powder
Snacks

Banana Powder Musa × paradisiaca

Banana powder is 100% freeze-dried banana—with no added sugar, no artificial flavors, and no fillers. In the freeze-drying process, water is extracted from the frozen fruit at low temperatures instead of being boiled out. The color, flavor, and heat-sensitive nutrients are largely preserved.

We choose bananas because they do two things at once. They provide the natural sweetness that makes this snack appealing without added sugar—and they supply pectin, a soluble dietary fiber that binds water and forms a gel-like structure in the intestines. Plus, they provide potassium and magnesium from the fruit itself.

For your dog, that means: an ice cream that tastes like fruit because it contains fruit—with a fiber content that soothes rather than strains the digestive system.

Raspberry Powder (Rubus idaeus)

Raspberry powder consists of 100% freeze-dried raspberries. The berries are frozen, the water is extracted directly from the ice under vacuum, and then they are ground. This is the gentlest way to preserve the red pigments—and these pigments are also the active ingredient here.

We choose raspberries because their red color comes from anthocyanins and their seeds provide ellagic acid. Both are among the most powerful plant-based antioxidants and neutralize free radicals, which are produced during any physical activity. With about 11 g of dietary fiber per 100 g, raspberries also contain more fiber than most fruits.

For your dog, that means a summery snack that also provides antioxidant protection—and a color that comes from the berry itself, not from a paint can.

Dog-Ice-Raspberry
Agave inulin
Snacks

Agave Inulin (Agave tequilana Weber var. azul)

Inulin is a fructan, a chain of fructose building blocks. Dogs cannot break it down because they lack the necessary enzyme. Our inulin is extracted from the heart of the blue Weber agave—with at least ten units per chain, over 90% dietary fiber, and about 5 g of sugar per 100 g. It has a slightly sweet taste but is still classified as fiber, not sugar.

We use agave inulin in Dog-ICE because it reaches the large intestine undigested and is fermented there by bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. This process produces short-chain fatty acids, primarily butyrate—the preferred energy source of the intestinal mucosa. Another practical benefit: Inulin dissolves completely in water and binds moisture. This gives the frozen mixture structure without the need for a thickening agent.

For your dog, this means a snack that supports their gut flora. It all comes down to the amount—fiber takes some getting used to, and too much at once can cause gas. That’s why we’re careful to use it sparingly and recommend introducing it gradually.
