Our History · SINCE 1992

One family.
One conviction.

Tradidog isn't a startup with a marketing budget. It's actually a Swiss family-owned business based in Wangen on the Upper Lake Zurich that has been in the dog and pet nutrition business since 1992—and a promise that began with a dog named Krisia.

"Without Krisia, there would be no tradidog."

Act I · The Beginning

A female dog saved Kim'
's life.

Little Kim was asleep when he stopped breathing. Krisia, the family dog, paced back and forth anxiously, tugging at their pant legs, and wouldn't let up until his parents went to check on him. It was not a second too soon.

"Without Krisia, there would be no Kim, and without Krisia, there would be no tradidog..."

Act II · The Foundation

Over 30 years of experience and expertise—
— carried on by Kim today .

What began in our family over thirty years ago was a simple conviction: that a dog deserves more than just what’s convenient. From this philosophy grew a family business that has viewed pet nutrition not as a business but as a craft, passed down through generations in Wangen, Canton of Schwyz.

Kim Rüegge carries on this conviction today—not as the inventor of something new, but as someone who takes an old promise seriously and uses science to shape it in a way that dogs can truly grasp.

"Without Krisia, there would be no tradidog."

Act III · The Beginning

Bailey isn't
the mascot. He's the reason.

Golden Retriever, born on October 29, 2020. He swims in Lake Zurich, is sensitive to noise, and gets SENSITIVE in his food bowl every day. Not a promotional dog—the dog against whom every product is first measured.

If something isn't good enough for Bailey, it doesn't go in the bag. That's how simple the standard is.

"Without Krisia, there would be no tradidog."

A True Story · The Shard of Glass

Five stitches, five days—and a valuable lesson.

One summer evening, Bailey was running along the shore of Lake Zurich, as usual. A leap into the shallow water, a brief yelp—and a thin trail of blood on the warm rocks. A shard of glass had been lying in the shallow water, hidden from view.

At the vet, he ended up with five stitches. Five days in a cone, five days of rest, five days with a dog who couldn’t understand why he wasn’t allowed in the water. In the end, he practically pulled the last few stitches out himself. Today he’s swimming again as if nothing had happened—all that’s left is a small scar on his paw.

Good care doesn't promise a life without wounds. It's what makes a dog strong enough to heal well.

Because an honest promise also includes what even the best toppings can’t prevent. Supplemental feeding strengthens your pet from the inside—but it’s no substitute for a veterinarian. We’ll tell you exactly what Tradidog can do—and what it can’t.

Good care doesn't promise a life without wounds. It's what makes a dog strong enough to heal well.
